‘Chinook Interference Pattern’. Chinook CH-47 aircraft flying low along the river Wye, with reflections. Drawings (four images).
‘Chinook Interference Pattern’
Two, perhaps four Chinook helicopters appear in this drawing. Seen from the front, as if flying straight towards us at eye level. The RAF uses the Wye valley as a training ground and the aircraft fly low enough to create ripples on the surface of the water, creating reverberations through the hull of my boat. The direction and approach of the aircraft is uncertain until suddenly appearing low against the background of cliffs.
